Hey, Jammers! This is my very first AJ advice post!
This is basic advice you should know on AJ.
First, always know when people scam. Scamming is when people trade you a really bad item for a really good one, like a necklace for a spike.
These are main types of scamming:
Trust scamming,
Giveaway scamming,
Flash scamming,
Etc, etc. You can contact AJHQ at:support@animaljam.com for support.
Also, you need to know the rarest and least rare items.
The most rare are, betas (items that were sold during beta testing and no longer avalible in stores), rare fox hats, founders hats, worn blankets (non rare), headdresses, etc. The least rare rares are: rare leis, rare necklaces, etc. These rares are also called unwanted rares.
Another big thing you shold know is, the currency of AJ. The main things of currency are; gems (easiest to get) and diamonds (hard for non-members to get).
Another biggie is trading. Trading is a fun way on AJ where you and another jammer can switch items. But here are so.a tips for good trading. First, don't accidentally scam. You can scam by accident by, if someone says, Free... then don't trade them like a neecklace for that item, because they will be forced to accept. Also, don't say I accept all trades! Because that is basically scamming yourself, because no one will trade you fairly. And finally, don't put store bought items on your trade list, even member ones. People will not trade you then, because they can but those items, too.
The last big thing you should know is,
Where to go for certain things.
So, you know how sometimes it seems as though everyone knows exactly where to go for what. This is how you can be like them too! This is where the most common places for things are;
To get "adopted" go to the pillow room at the bottom left of Jamaa (it's not on the map). To advertise for something go to a busy server (Aldan is the best one) in Coral Canyons or Jamaa Township.
To go shopping the most popular places are; (for clothes) Jam Mart Clothing and Epic Wonders. For den items, Jam Mart Furniture, or Epic Wonders are the best choices.
